The short story…
I’ve lived with drywall dust in my hair for the better part of 15 years because I completely believe that good interior design makes peoples lives better. It can inspire, nourish, and challenge. A space that works for you, reflects who you are, is the foundation for people to go out and live other dreams.
I split my time between Washington DC and Sanibel, Florida and work with clients all around the country, both in person, and virtually. Projects range from full service remodels and new builds to a small-scale home, or even a room, refresh.
My Approach…
Designing a space is indeed about plans and furniture, volume, light and proportion, but it’s also an experience—a fun (yes, I said fun), creative experience. Designing your space, and working with a designer shouldn’t be intimidating or shrouded in mystery. And it's a great opportunity to learn new stuff—how often do we get to do that as grown ups?
The process is pretty straight forward, especially when you know what to expect—and there are no questions off limits, or too basic. I find a good mix of projects to be interesting and rewarding--everyone deserves a space that supports the life they want to lead. Which means I do really big projects with lots of dollar signs, and also ones with tiny budgets.
